American-Kenyan Health & Wellness Conference

Nairobi August 3rd 2011  –After a successful introduction in Nigeria, the US Medical Tourism phenomenon moves to

Dr. Folorunso Ibraheem, the man behind the USA Medical Tourism agenda

the Eastern Africa Region, with a launch set for the 5th of August in Nairobi Kenya.  This is seen as a regional forum featuring participants from across the East, Central and Southern Africa.

The US Medical Tourism agenda is a powerful phenomenon geared towards the medical wellness of members from all over the world.   The programme has been well received in Nigeria, where several workshops were held across the country in major cities including; Lagos, Ibadan, Zaria, Kaduna, Abuja and Portharcourt.

Nairobi has been selected as the launching pad for the rest of the African region, with more conferences and training workshops (TBC) in other neighbouring countries.

In a nutshell; the American-Kenyan Health & Wellness program, will provide a wide range of services to people who value their health and that of their families.

We Live in a world that requires and places  insurmountable daily demands on us all, without regard to financial ability, many are forced to literary race against time, tirelessly trying to eke out a living for themselves, their children and family members; to you all, this program is long overdue.

The program has a five target approach;

  • USA-Kenya Medical Tourism: providing an opportunity for annual comprehensive medical checkups, leisure tourism, business and services in the USA & Kenya.
  • World Wide Wellness Awareness: including primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention. This will require registration for the WWW club. Special attention will be focused on 1) High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, COPD, and Asthma, 2) Cancers of the Lungs, Breast, Prostate, Cervix, and Colon, 3) Exercise  & Yoga, and 4) Knowledge update and workshop for ALL that care about GOOD HEALTH will be discussed
  • Nursing Refresher Lecture & Innovative Workshop for self improvement & preparation for the global market: for the unemployed.
  • Training the trainer (TTT) with the latest technology to deliver “Masterful Teaching” in a separate arrangement.
  • Job creation, practice improvement, and international knowledge sharing.  Opportunity for ECG & Ultrasound latest technology and instrumentation with options to purchase the ECG, U-Sound machines and other diagnostic instruments.

The Nairobi Launch to be used as a regional kick-start is expected to host among others some top dignitaries in both Government and Medical fields from across the Continent.

  1. Dr. John Osuku Opio – : Ph.D Medicinal Chemistry: University of Paris XI, Integrated Medical Consultant: British College of Integrated Medicine Integrated/Integrative Medicine: 21st Century.  Dr. Opio will speak on Medicine as a New Model for Medical Education and Practice.
  1. Kenyan Specialist DoctorTo speak on Cancer……. (TBC)
  1. Fazilah Bazari – NLP Master Practitioner, Accredited Journey Practitioner Holistic Yoga Instructor.

The incorporated workshops will cover; nursing and basic outlines on primary prevention, wellness and other topics.

Expected outcomes are;

  1. Increased awareness of ‘World Class’ American-Kenyan wellness Programme & Disease prevention.
  2. Enhanced skills and competencies in day to day nursing operations.
  3. Preparation for Nurses’ Professional Examinations; especially National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
